Year End Musings

Santa Clause made it to Indiana a day early for the Lumpkins children. However, it was not the pitter patter of feet that woke us to the gifts Santa had left, it was Woody calling everybody to wake up. He had us all up by 6:30 AM to enjoy the presents. (We had a very tight schedule to keep to make it Mom's house in Frankfort by 4:30 PM, as well as getting everything packed for the girls, showers done for the five of us, and dropping the dog off to stay with Missy so she would not be overwhelmed by the family at Mom's gathering. Needless to say, all went as planned, we arrived on time, and spent an enjoyable evening with family and friends. We estimated there were 29 people there total, and 8 of those were little boys under the age of 6. Our family is truly a blessing, and it touched me at one point in the evening when the children were opening their gifts, how much we should cherish the time we all have together, for things change all too fast. I hope that the New Year brings us all the health and happiness we can use. Happy New Year to everyone.

Happy New Year to you also. Yes things change in the blink of an eye and things will never be the same once it does so cherish every moment, the good as well as the bad for family is all there is and they are truly a gift from God. Love you my family, BBa
